When are entry kits available? 

The 2025/2026 Australian Hair Fashion Awards (AHFA) Entry Kits are now available for you to start preparing your Entries.

What do the new 2025/26 dates mean? 

We've made some exciting changes to give entrants and winners more time to celebrate their success, and for our judges to thoughtfully review submissions.

- Longer Entry Period: You’ll have extra time to prepare your entry.

-Finalists Announced at a Live Event: Instead of an online reveal, we’re hosting an in-person AHFA Live Finalist Announcement Party - details revealed soon!

-More time for Winners to shine: The AHFA Gala now happens in early 2026, giving winners nearly a full year to celebrate their title before the next awards cycle.

-New annual timeline from 2026 onward: Entry Kits will be available from March each year, with finalists announced in November, and winners crowned the following February/March.

 

​When do entries close for the 2025/26 Australian Hair Fashion Awards?
Product Category Entries Close: 5pm Monday 7 July 2025

Creative, State & Business Category Entries Close: 5pm Monday 18 August 2025

What is the 2025/26 Awards Period?

The Awards Period refers to the timeframe in which all images, videos, and content/information submitted in your entry must have been created.

• Creative & Business Categories: 26 July 2024 – 18 August 2025

• Product Categories: 26 July 2024 – 7 July 2025

Do I need to post anything after I enter?
No. Your photographic collection is only a digital submission. 
However, if you are entering a Product Category, (with the exception of Colour Innovation) then you will need to post your samples to:

What categories can I enter?

Each category has specific criteria and rules, so be sure to review them carefully, as entry eligibility varies. Many categories are open to New Zealand-based professionals, providing a broader opportunity for talent across the region. Additionally, the Global Hairdresser of the Year category welcomes international entrants, further solidifying AHFA’s position as a platform celebrating creative excellence on a global scale.

When can I release my collection for online or print publication?

After the finalists have been announced - details revealed soon!

When and where is the AHFA Gala?

The AHFA Gala will take place in early 2026, with full details - including the venue - to be revealed soon!​
